Welcome to Around the Corner - a new series of social events to support Bluebird District businesses through BRT Construction! We all know that mutual aid starts locally. Around the Corner is designed to give neighbors an opportunity to connect with one another and socialize, while also giving us a chance to direct our dollars back into our local economy. Grab a local beer for happy hour, bring your family and friends for dinner, or come on your own to connect with your community. We'll be happy to see you, however you show up!

On June 21st from 5-7 PM, we'll be at Mama Jo's Chicken, Biscuits & BBQ! With your purchase, you'll get a free cookie or fountain drink* if you're an SCPNA neighbor - just mention you're here for Around the Corner.

If you haven't been since they opened in February... Mama Jo's is a family-owned food truck turned brick and mortar in the restaurant space formerly occupied by Steve's Snappin Dogs at Colfax and Monroe. They offer some award-winning chicken biscuits and a full slate of BBQ offerings - which includes wings on Wednesday and brisket on Saturday and Sundays. Don't sleep on the desserts! Pastry Chef Jodi makes a mean cookie and hand pie! 

Can't make it on this date? Consider Mama Jo's for Wing Wednesday, for your weekend brisket cravings, or to satisfy your sweet tooth with an amazing banana pudding hand pie. 

*Funding for each event is generously provided by the Bluebird District and the cap for each event is $200. First come, first served.
